Afloat is an alternative/emo band based out of the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. The band started with Josh Rubeo and Gabby Relos meeting at Rowan University. While at Rowan, they recorded the band's first EP and began booking their own shows. They focused on curating their sound, building an audience, and making themselves known throughout their area. In addition, Gabby also leads a local music collective, Head Above Water, which has further exposed the band to greater opportunities and connections.

Afloat recently released their EP, Speak Slow, Then Leave, through Mint 400 Records. Following the release, the band hit the road for a Midwest tour from June 6th–17th, bringing their latest music to audiences outside of their home region and continuing to grow their presence through live shows.
