Afloat is an alternative/emo band based out of the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. The band started with Josh Rubeo and Gabby Relos meeting at Rowan University. While at Rowan they recorded the band's first EP and began booking their own shows. They focused on curating their sound, building an audience, and making themselves known throughout their area. This effort landed them an unofficial South by Southwest artist showcase in 2019. In addition Gabby also leads a local music collective, Head Above Water which has further exposed the band to greater opportunities and connections.

Now the band plans to release a new ep called “Speak Slow, then Leave” which will be out on Mint400 Records on Mat 29th. Followed by a midwest tour from June 6th - June 17th.
